Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; there is where they should be.
Now put foundations under them.

Books read meme & update

Lots of stuff going on around here lately, here is a synopsis:

  • Jordan went to the hospital late Mon. night, had to turn the shunt back down, admitted him. Surgery went fine Tues. a.m. and we were back home Wed. by 3pm.
  • But now (Saturday afternoon) he is not feeling well at all :( its set at 1.5 and he is def. showing signs of overdrainage. Sigh...
  • Hubby went to the dr. for some test results Thurs. and found out he has Insulin Resistance Diabetes (formerly called Syndrome X). I guess its worse than pre-diabetes and better than full blown diabetes. He has to go on an immediate low-carb diet and lose weight, because he has a double whammy, this syndrome plus high cholesterol putting him at high risk for stroke or heart attack. And hey throw some stress in the pot too! So since we are 'one flesh' ;) I am dieting with him! Lo-carb! Yes me! Who is the most carb loving/addicted individual I know! Help me Lord!
  • We are on day 16 of no hot water and no dryer. We spent a 8 days with no heat, but its been back on for 8 days. But one thing after another has prevented simply rehooking up the dryer and hot water heater :( Please God let it be soon.
  • Its my ugly week too. 'nuff said. Please Lord help my FAMILY lol. Amen.
SO basically none of my stress went anywhere!
And now compounding that is the planning and studying to fix even simple meals!
And my comfort food is all gone!

But God is still on His throne and Jesus still loves me :)
For now that is going to have to be enough..

Hope J is doing better, I have been so worried and its hard to be so far away. Things seem to be better, alittle anyway.

here's hoping you get all the house issues fixed shortly. This seems to be the year everything is breaking in our house too. We have a water leek from a frozen faucet that now leeks into the basement when yiu turn the faucet on. It will have to be fixed asap. It will be a booger too because we are going to have to remove vinyl siding to get to it. Its always one thing or another it seems. Who needs to go to six flags when life is a roller coaster????

I started painting the bathroom and have it all tore apart and unusable and I now have the flu. I had to stop last night and just go to bed. I couldn't take another step. I feel better now and need to get busy.

I am coming home for a visit when I get over this illlness.

See you all then.

Dw was diag. with the same thing as Dan this month. He is taking gouphoge for it and hope it works.
