Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

Whew time is flying

Hubby took off several days last week and threw my schedule to heck :) I enjoy the time but its hard also.

We are gearing up for more cold here, and we have a chance of getting the tail end of the big snowstorm moving thru the north today. I hope it misses and we only get rain. I am so ready for SPRING :)

I am still feeling so much better though, bad weather or not. My house is clean, I am starting in on my sewing room. We got some bills paid off and I splurged and got a new tv :) Its a 27" flat screen. We were using a 19" old one with one speaker on the side that I got off of freecycle. I also splurged and turned my dish network (satellite) back on. I spent so much money last year on fabric and stuff, and I spend a couple hrs a month in there and its not family interactive. Me and the kids LOVE reality tv its something we love to do together and to discuss etc. So this year I wanted to get the new nicer tv :) And since we came back to Dish Network, we got the DVR and OMGOSH if you dont have DVR or TIVO or whatever GET IT its so cool. We also got the movie channels free for 3 mos. I am loving that too :) I watched War of the Worlds (cheesy but good!), Herbie Fully Loaded (adorable movie!) and we recorded Shaggy Dog with Tim Allen and Star Wars Ep. 3 havent watched those yet. And I am so so happy to get back to watching my favorites that we couldnt get with antenna, Deal or No Deal, Wife Swap, Supernanny, Joyce Meyer and recently watching John Hagee again. Hubby said THOSE ARE ALL NETWORK TV. well YAH they are but we couldnt get them before LOL. American Idol, this is my first season watching it, oh that Simon is such a cutie :) Survivor started last week, seemed fairly good. no one jumping out at me as a favorite yet but "Dreemz" is annoying, "Rocky" is so cliche. I am COUNTING THE HOURS TIL I SEE MY SWEET BOSTON ROB AGAIN on Amazing Race on the 18th! ::swoon:: Ok enough tv talk. Yall will think all I do is watch the boob tube LOL.

Well I need to get back to work, my sewing room getting done is my #1 goal today. that and I want to leave a comment on each Q4P blog today :) Have a great day! xoxo melzie

I sure had fun reading your blog!!
We have alot in common..I love to quilt too, and my youngest has ADD and all that goes with that. We are arguing about how our tax return will be spent too...and have decided to each write out a list of OUR own priorities and then compare them and hopefully comprimize. First off the top is vacation money to go to CAlif to visit 3 oldest grown sons for Easter...I can hardly wait!!
My kids and I always watch American Idol together too.

I couldn't live without my DVR. We bought a DVD-R for the bedroom (the only one we have other than the computers) so I could record programs for my husband while he is away. I have already sent one batch of 7 disks and anticipate more in another month. I know he appreciates it.

Thank you for your visit on my blog, I will come as often as I can to read yours! I'm living on a sailboat, sailing in the Pacifique ocean, so I don't have everyday an internet connection!!
Happy quilting!

We are so spoiled by the DVR. We record or pause everything and then watch it without the commercials. It would be so hard to go back to regular TV now. We don't have any of the movie channels, but we get a kick out of RFD, and Eleanor Burns' show is on that channel twice a week. Same show both times.

I'm glad you got something you really wanted with your share of tax money.

Good to see you're feeling better and blogging again.

I would like to get a DVR one day - I think it would be great. We can't buy TIVO in Canada. Not sure why - we can get the service if we buy the actual unit in the U.S. Strange.

Survivor is off to a good start, but I cannot wait to see Rob and Amber! *Grin*
