Well I have my fabric chosen, washed, ironed and cut! Off to print out the next step. Tonight the boys including the biggest one are going rc car racing so I can maybe get some sewing in tonight and possibly get hour 2 done :) Here are my fabrics, thats a dark green not a black.
Last year Hancock's had this fabric with the Christmas fabrics. I kept telling my mom that does NOT look Christmasy to me lol. (the name I see now is Autumn Applique go figure hehe). I COVETED this fabric. But at $6.99 a yard it was not happening. Then after the first of the year it went to the remnant table...which is $2.50 a yard. I got it to the cutting table and then said no..it will go cheaper. Well on quilter club days they put the remnants to .99 a yard. My mom called me whispering ITS QUILTER DAY GET UP HERE lol. I flew up there and bought all of it, 6+ yards. And now I've found a use for it :) I am not going to do the pieced borders, I am going to border in this fabric and bind in the dark green.
On to zee hawgermanner
Look at this pose :) Yes he DID dress himself this day thankyouverymuch LOL. HE IS SO FUNNy and someday I can seriously do some blackmailing with this picture ;) have a great day :) xoxo melzie PS IM STILL SICK WAHHHHHH

There is just nothing like a great bargin on the best fabric.
Neat fabric choices & good for you to wait until it was $.99 a yard!
Where is it going to go besides the borders? (Or will it only be in the borders?)
I'm sorry you're still feeling bad. It took me several weeks to really get rid of this crud so believe me it will eventually go away.
Love the fabric and good for you in waiting until it went on drastic sale.
And that will be a GREAT black mail picture about the time he gets his first serious girlfriend. LOL!
Nice colours you have chosen for the Gratitude quilt. I am catching up with part 2 and 3 today.
And yes....this is indeed a photo for blackmailing later when he is grown up. Maybe his wedding.
Aachooooo on me too. Have been home from work three days now. But I have done some sewing. Hope you/we LOL feel better tomorrow.
Hugs....aaaaachooooo
Your fabric is fun....cannot wait to see it in the Gratitude quilt. I'm a bit behind but ready to catch up today. Hope you feel better soon!
that is going to be one very nice quilt!! can't wait to see the finished product!
lucky you getting that fabric at a bargain price. I like the print.
Can't wait to see the progress on your Hour A Day quilt.
What a fabulous picture, one that really needs to be saved for his wedding day!!
