Next generation of quilter/sewers and Melzie's to-do list for Thurs :-)

This is my bff Michelle's daughter KL. She surprised me last month showing me some Barbie clothes she had sewn by hand. I gave her some fabric scraps and more thread and a next generation of sewing junkie has now been born. She's been after me to try the machine out :)








































She is coming over again this week to 'play' :) She is a ton of fun to spend time with.

I love Thursday. I love rainy days. I love rainy Thursdays! LOL

Although I like rainy days when I can stay HOME today I have TONS of running :-) But I don't mind. First thing, I am fixing to hit the shower then hit the road, the hosp. has their monthly linen sale today starting at 7am. I am hoping for more big waterproof bed pads for my boys. Then my list is as follows
  1. Linen sale
  2. breakfast (Hardee's)
  3. meet my mom for coffee when she gets off at 9am
  4. Hancock Fabrics
  5. Goodwill
  6. Library
  7. Other fave thrift store (benefits the Women's Shelter)
  8. Fave used book store
Then I need some stuff to make my nephew little E a dirt cake (he turned 4 yesterday!) and Hubby needs some shampoo. I do not really want to traipse in and out of wallyworld in the rain, I might hit up the Dollar General in the same plaza as the bottom two items :-) I think they'll have all of it and then I am saving time and gas. Just thinking out loud. Got to go get cash, gas, swing some back for kids (book fair). I also have to bring my empty water gallon jugs to my moms and refill them, we are STILL under a boil water order, have been 10 days, 9 days now.

Sounds like a busy but fun day.
I need to make a list today too...alot of small stops to make and then need to get ready to babysit a couple toddlers tonight overnight while their mom has another baby.
Boiling water..ugh.
I am hoping husband gets our tv switched this afternoon when he gets off work. It has been out (the one in the family room ) for 3 or 4 days ..I lost track...and with the little kids here tonight and all day tomorrow it would be nice to be able to put in videos or cartoons for them. We have the extra tv....just a matter of him switching them. This one's sound went out. I guess they could watch SILENT cartoons..haha.
