Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

I am not from the south but my mom's family is and one thing I see when we visit is family cemetaries. Oh and "dry goods" stores with old wood plank floors and a musty smell. I love visiting down there.

OMG all you said and listed brings back memories of visiting grandma. I loved going to her houses. My parents live in southeastern missouri and still are in the country. They have a tractor and a huge garden, and manner. :-)
Thanks for the memories.

Madder than a wet hen; pitchin' a hissy fit; ornery-er than a mule; big as a barn door; runnin' around like a chicken with its head cut off; runnin' like a bat out o' hell; he [the minister] ever more inflamed 'em . . . he had 'em up and rarin' to go . . . he shucked the corn right off'n the cob; she dresses as tacky as wet paint.
