Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

Slump-free Saturday lol

I declare today slump free! No slumping, slouching, moaning or groaning! I want EVERYONE that reads this post today to leave a comment with ONE BLESSING. Just count ONE today! If you want to count more feel free but I want to hear at least one good thing from each passer-by.

We had a ladies event at church last night, a PJ party! Came dressed in pj's and brought a food beginning with a P or J. (I brought potato salad). I've never SEEN more varieties of pasta salads. Jambalya, pizza, and OH the crowning jewel, some rich falling over chocolatey stuff called PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE BROWNIES. O M GOSH I WILL get the recipe :) And then my friends I'LL POST IT. Oh yes I will. But it was almost too sinful to eat at church LOL. We had a skit and games oh yes fun running around embarassing games LOL. Then a very nice devotional. And our pastor's wife announced what our theme for our big ladies event in Sept will be, which is Back in time, and we will sign up to help decorate a table representing a particular time period. I already spoke up for the '60's! Peace, love, etc ;) I laughed so hard last night it lifted me out of my slump before I could breathe twice ;) SO much fun. God is so good and fellowship is priceless :)

I have been feeling overall better and as a result I know have every room in my house cleaned EXCEPT wildchild's. Its horrendous. Its also kind of a catchall so its not entirely his fault, although at 13 most of it IS his laziness. School is out in 2 wks I think I'll hold off til then. My room though I finally finished yesterday, and its so clean and so restful, why do I slob it up??? Why why why? :)

Well, get to leaving your blessing comments, I use to post my gratitudes at the end of each post I need to get back to that. Have a great weekend all!

Blessings:
Cleanliness
Birds singing (oh we have a LOUD nest just outside our bedroom window, and they are silent today...wonder if they went off to birdy college or something finally?)
Sweet kittens
Sweet kittens going to new homes this weekend LOL
Jesus. saved the best for last :)

Thanks for a long-time friend who can talk to my DD even when she won't listen to her ole mom.

blessing: I am loved by God no matter what. That I've faultered in my faith the past couple years and I am beginning to find my core, my foundation. God loves me.

some of my many blessings....family, friends, lots of critters, an old silly house that I love, overalls to wear on "bloaty" days, hot herbal tea with honey, a husband who almost "gets" me and loves me even when he dosn't, sunshine after all the needed rain (and NOT needed snow) this weekend, health, fabric and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
