Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

Bargains and holiday wishes :)

Went to Hancock's today, got Amy at the Calico Cat some of that owl/cat fabric she had asked me to purchase on her behalf (who knew it was so obscure?). I also got a kit to make this wall hanging found HERE. I got the owl/cat fabric for 40% off and the wall hanging kit was regularly $26.99 and I got it for 13.59, it was on sale for $16.99 but I got my mom's employee discount off the whole enchilada which is 20% more. SO for $26 I got both items :)

Well POKE A FORK IN ME I AM DONE DONE DONE! Shopping that is. I dont care if we have to eat ramen til January I do not want to set FOOT IN ANOTHER WALMART TIL 2007 lol. I bought me a 6ft pre-lit tree at Big Lots today for $12.50 (50% off of $25). I saw on a blog somewhere someone had a tree with their Christmas cards hanging with ribbon from a tree. TOO CUTE. My cards pile up on one of those generic card hangers, they fall off, covered up etc. I am putting this tree in my room with my specialist ornaments from online exchanges with my mommy group on it also :)

One thing I enjoy as I settle into my 30's is realizing I cant lose myself in wife/mommy/friend/sister/daughter mode, I have to do somethings for MYSELF and my OWN mental wellness :) That tree is one of those things.

I hope you all enjoy the week ahead, take time to drink hot cocoa, to see some lights. I am hopefully going to get to go next Sat. and volunteer at a local church handing out christmas baskets of food stuff for the needy for Christmas dinner. I've been on the receiving end of that a few times and I am SO EXCITED to go be on the giving end :) I cant afford to give alot but I have time to give for sure.

Merry Christmas to you all, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS :) xoxo melzie

Do you take your cocoa straight, or with marshmallows or whipped cream? *Smile*

Thanks a bunch - I love that kitty pattern... (I just found out that we have a Hancock's fairly close to me - I'm gonna have to look for those red & black kitties.)
