Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

A finish, a gift, an update and a hawger :)

Got Hawger's quilt done! He likes it very much. Its backed in fleece, no batting.

My sweet sweet friend Randi sent me a purse :) If its just totally irresistable you can check her etsy shop out at Simple Things :) She is who I am doing the Joyce Meyer book study with, this book via the Bible of course lol is changing my life! The negative and depressive way I've lived is going away fast.

A happy satisfied purse recipient Randi! LOL

I updated my picture blog if you want to drop by, there are like 8 new entries! Here is my favorite one :)

Tracey has graciously posted pics of how to make the chicken pincushions I've so been drooling over. I have something I found, its a prequilted chicken with wings that flap up (I think its to cover a bread basket?) that was my grandmas! Its already got eyes, a comb, and a beak. I think I might cut it up and modify it to make my "chook" :)

Fall has fell here in se MO its gorgeous, but quite nippy. Our low tonight is suppose to be 27ish BRR :)

Gratitudes:
A digi camera to take pix
A warm quilt for hawger to sleep under
Cardinals winning game one (game two pshaw its nuttin!)
A bloggy friend sending a gift :D
Grocery buying today!

Melzie, that quilt you made is so colorful and cheerful looking. No wonder Hawger liked it.

What a lovely purse to be given. Lucky you.

Great pics! Love the quilt, love the purse! I never thought of backing a quilt with fleece, and not using batting! I might have to try that - very soon!

Hope you're having a good week!
God bless :)

Hawger's quilt turned out great. And I can tell by that smile that he thinks so too. :-)

Fall is finally coming here to S. TX. He've had temps at night in the low 50s and highs in the low 70s. My kinda weather!

Doesn't he look so cute sitting on his quilt!

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

That is certainly a nice bag Randi sent to you.
I checked out the website. Does she make the purses and other items? What is etsy mean?

What a gorgeous purse - it's the colours which go so well together. I was just looking at cushions in a store today in those exact colours - actually, the fabric looks like it could have been the same.

That is a great quilt. Congratulations on finishing, and on making something that is loved by the recipient. Just in time for the winter! The purse is great too.

Lucky Hawger! And lucky you, with that bag. It looks like Kaffe Fasset fabric? I love the picture by the water! You do such wonderful photography of people, Melzie. I always stick to landscapes. =)
