Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

QOTD for today!

Today I have a QUESTION OF THE DAY (QOTD) :) Actually there are a few questions-my answers follow.

Do you have any kind of "stuff" stockpiled in the event of an emergency? (like water, food etc)-- No, but I am seriously considering it of late

Do you worry about needing things like that?-- I'm starting to more and more.

Do you worry about the flu epidemics, west nile etc?-- I didnt, until I read that the gov't is worrying about the bird flu!

Does your family have emergency plans?- We use to go over more of that type stuff than what we do now

Do you care emergency stuff in your vehicle?- not yet, but I am considering it.

I recently read a "what if" type book (book 1 of the Restoration series by Terri Blackstock). What if...all machinery quit working? Clocks, cars, planes, phones EVERYTHING. Things had to be stockpiled, grown, reused, done by hand. It was EXTREMELY thought provoking. I am a worrier anyway by nature, but this book did get me to considering "what ifs". My 9 yr old has special needs. I have no preparation for his day to day needs if suddenly we couldnt get what he needed. My husband and 2 of my sons are on daily medications. And on and on. On the one hand you have to trust in God to care for you, on the other God expects us to have and use common sense too. I found this website www.ready.gov which is interesting :) Curious to see what you all think!

No more considering woman! Get those kits ready. Tornadoes don't care if you aren't prepared.
