Lets rake up some fun!
Lovey mid leap into a leaf pile!
My 3 munchkins :)
Hubby pushed me in too but sorry no one thought to snap a pic LOL
In other news...Guess what I did??! Well I decided to go the cutting the squares out individual route. And for some stupid reason I cut 600! instead of 300! What WAS I thinking?! Took me FOREVER too and I went to Hancock's today and got more variety to go in because I ONLY had 400+ and thought I needed 200 more! LOL dur melzie so now I have more 2" squares! Maybe I'll make 2 gratitudes quilts hehe.
Thats all to report here :) Hope youre weekend is going well!
Gratitudes:
Warm house (cold outside!)
Excess of 2" squares! (you know, incase there's like a shortage or something ;)
Church tomorrow! I missed last week from being sick. We go Sun. a.m. and p.m. but not Wed. night as we live almost 30 miles from our church and there is just not time to do it all :)
xoxo melzie

HiMelzie. Good luck with all those little squares, I tend to go the strip route but did have to individually cut and sew a good few to get the right balance. I'm making the quilt bigger by making more of the scrappy squares, you could now just do that too. Cheers
Twice as much Gratitude never hurt anyone. :-)
And the pictures of the kids playing in the leaves brings back many fond childhoon memories. Thanks for sharing.
the leaves look like lots of fun. we don't have that many leaves here - they blow away from the house to other parts of the neighborhood.
how about a scrappy square outer border? That would surely use up thse blocks.
that's a lot of squares! omgoodness! your hands must be cramped from all that cutting. now on to the fun part! Sewing! Can't wait to see that!
Good luck with the quilt! LOVE the leaf photos with the kids!
OH! These leaf pictures are great! I SO miss raking leaves and other fall things. Looks like a great day of fun.
Do you like Irish Chain quilts? With all of those extra squares you are well on your way to making one. (I can send you directions...)
Love the Munchkins! *Smile*
Oh my - that is a lot of 2" squares ...... I like ComputerPeach's comment about perhaps using them in the border.
What cute kids! No kid can resist a huge pile of leaves.
