Welcome to my little corner of blogland! This is the only sane spot I can come in my crazy life! :) Here I share my sometimes funny sometimes NOT-day to day insanity I call my life, along with my sweet wooly hubby & all our boys :)

May Day May Day!

IMG_0682
Good Monday morning! Sharing a very pretty picture today, of my peace rose. It was my granny's, then my nana's. When my nana passed away (10 yrs ago this month) I "inherited" it for my own :) Its older than I am!

Had horrible storms here last night, more on the way possibly today and tomorrow. I hate storms. We have no basement OR interior room, we scoot the kitchen table up to the centerest corner of the kitchen, and get under it with pillows and blankets. If there was ever a tornado bearing down on us we'd get a mattress over us too.

I've been bit by the monday bug today I am bluh and unmotivated and my MIL came by OF COURSE when my house is TRASHED lol. Oh well I'll worry about that tomorrow! (thanks Scarlett lol).

I got the rainbow border on the carebear quilt. I have a quilty sew'y question; WHY does it, when my bobbin is about 3/4 out, start to pull the bottom layer unevenly? I waste so much thread by going ahead and unwinding that bobbin and rewinding a new one. Is it suppose to do that?

Sharing one more pic, of my almost 10 yr old special needs boy :) check out those adorable freckles! (may have to click to see larger to get the full freckle effect lol). He is such a momma's boy :)

I wouldn't care for a tornado either! Generally we get hail instead (lucky us!)

I lost your blog link and I am glad to find it again!!!

Hey Melzie,

It's me again!

I use the packaged rick-rack for the purse.

Since you are a sew-er, here is an easy tutorial for a similar purse to the one I made. I added interfacing to both the inside and outside fabrics and I added a small pocket on the inside. Oh, and a clasp and a button to close it. Otherwise, it is pretty much the same!

Enjoy!
